The social programme
The school's activities offer an ideal opportunity to explore the city and surroundings and to meet new friends. The programme differs in focus from educational to cultural, fun to inspirational. * A minimum of three activities a week during the summer and at least two activities a week during the rest of the year.
* Activities are open to overseas and British students at Basil Paterson. Students can integrate and enjoy the company of people from all over the world.
* Events can include whisky tasting, visits to art galleries or evenings of Scottish dancing.
* Many activities are free, while some carry a small fee.
* Trips vary in size and distance: from local walking tours, to bus trips to places further afield.
* Weekend trips to Loch Ness and the Highlands or to the Isle of Skye.
