The Frances King School of English was established as a language study centre in the centre of London 1973 and with 35 years' experience is one of London's most popular and well-known language schools. Frances King is located in central London with study centres centres located at Gloucester Road and Victoria - close to underground stations and leading tourist attractions. Frances King School of English is accredited by the British Council which ensures high standards of teaching and student services. The school offers a wide range of English language study courses to suit individual needs with flexible course starting dates throughout the year. Most courses start every Monday. The Frances King School of English is a large school, teaching a minimum of 450 students at any time,and is able to offer a selection of classes at each level. The Frances King School of English offers a a wide range of good quality, reasonably priced accommodation that has been inspected by the school and is in safe areas of London. Uniquely for a London school most of the accommodation is located in central London travel zones 1 & 2. The school's friendly, helpful student advisors are available to help you choose the most suitable course. They can also advise you on your accommodation or welfare matters, giving you help whenever you need it. Three language teaching centres in the heart of London The Gloucester Road School This school is near many of London's most popular museums (such as the Victoria and Albert, Natural History and Science Museum), in the fashionable area of Kensington and Chelsea, which is renowned for its history, cultural life, shops, bars and restaurants. The Gloucester Road school is a traditional Victorian building, which has been completely refurbished by Frances King. There is a student services office and over 20 classrooms on 3 floors, including an Executive Centre on the top floor with One-to-One classrooms. We also use two annexes a short walk from the main Gloucester Road School. On each floor there is a central common area with tea and coffee facilities where students can meet during breaks and lunchtime. Students can choose to have lunch in one of the many local cafes and restaurants or buy take-away food to eat in the common area. The local supermarkets and shops have an excellent variety of international food at reasonable prices. On the first floor, there is a well-equipped Study Centre with free Internet access and a range of material for self-study including online exercises, cassettes, videos, books, examination practice materials, newspapers and magazines. There is also a wireless network facility (WIFI) and students can access the Internet and their emails if they bring their own lap top computer.
