KET
Cambridge Key English Test |
KET (Key English Test) is an elementary level examination, at Council of Europe level A2. Candidates can think of taking the exam after 180-200 hours of study and is half way towards the Preliminary Examination in English (PET ). The examination tests basic communication skills in everyday situations and is suited to students of 13 and older.
About 44,000 candidates take the PET exam each year, worldwide.

PET
Cambridge Preliminary English Test |
The PET is an examination at Council of Europe level B1. It test the student's ability at a pre-intermediate level (after about 375 hours of study). PET is a step away from the much better known First Certificate of English.

FCE
Cambridge First Certificate in English |
The FCE (First Certificate of English) is an examination at the Council of Europe B2 level (approximately 600 hours of study).

The FCE is intended for candidates who need to certify their level of English as making them independent in everyday life.
About 250,000 candidates the FCE every year.

Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English |
The CAE is an examination at the Council of Europe C1 level (approximately 1000 hours of study).
This examination certifies that the candidate can use English effectively in complex situations and is recognised by many universities.

Cambridge Proficiency in English |

TOEFL
Test of English as a Foreign Language |
The TOEFL is examinationof American English requested by universities in the USA. The 'Internet.based test' (iBT) tests all four language skills - reading, writing, listening and speaking, all on-line at special examination centres.The test takes 4 hours, with each part of the test having a score of 0 to 30, with a total maximum score of 120.

TOEIC
Test of English for International Communica
tion

TOEIC is a test of English used for people who work: it takes 2 hours and takes the form of a quiz with 200 questions divided into two sections - listening and l reading comprehension. The TOEIC examination is very well known in the USA, Japan and in France and is taken by some 4.500.000 candidates a year.
The examination is administered by ETS, Educational Testing Service, a non-profit American company.
